Chapter 1 - Valleytown's Establishment

~*~

Valleytown was established in 1453, originally meant to be a small settlement amongst a group of outcasts, within the first year of its establishment, Valleytown begun its growth exponentially through the structures that were laid throughout the town's limits.

The positioning of Valleytown made it a perfect place for exploration, having the ruins of an Ancient City, infested with Skulk, in the mountains to the South, along with a pillager mansion to the East.

Within the first month of the founders settling into Valleytown, Ealaín, Ellie, and Riley delved into the Ancient City, determined to disarm and ward off the unruly Wardens, who terrorized the surrounding villages and caves.

While their exploration proved to be beneficial for the people of Valleytown as a whole, it wasn't without its problems. Ellie, having more sensitive hearing, found herself with a strange but terrifying curse upon being hit with the Warden's Sonically charged Shreik, dampening her previous magical ability to ward off evil spirits, and now suffers the consequences. To this day, we are unsure of the full ramefications of this exploration.

Ealaín and Riley, However, are rumored to have started experiments on the deep dark, forming a laboratory in the Ancient city, determined to either reverse the effects of the shreik, or get to the bottom of the magics surrounding it, in order to help their friend.

However, to travellers back then, the main draw of Valleytown wasn't its history, due to it being so new. But it was the establishments that ran in its limits that got people talking.

One of these establishments, still up to this day, is Mclovin's Fine Dine.

Established by Ellie McLovin, she used the magics she had available to her from her homeland to transform what would normally be average diner food into something akin to a cultural phenomenon. Cakes, pies, burgers, and fries were the main stay at this diner, but others came for the atmosphere alone.

During the initial construction of the diner, Ellie had found a companion quite strange, a nearly destroyed Ender Man washing up in the river behind the diner, she decided to repair her and nurse her back to health, being named Pendleton, an animatronic that performs the songs that play inside of the diner.

One of the most important and large buildings constructed by Valleytown was the Cathedral of Pride, Created in the middle of 1453, as tribute to the identities of the outcasted, and eventually would be the host of the communion spot for Aneajus, The Goddess of Death.

As Valleytown Expanded, more and more denizens stayed within its limits, the town becoming a beacon of safety and hope for the outcast and downtrodden victims of the iron fist of the dynasty.

Airships started appearing around, being a combination of re-constructed dynastic technology, and developments in air-based transportation, and with the arrival of the airships, we learned more and more about the world around them, the start of that beginning with the construction of what is now known as the General Withers Public Library, to honor the General who defended the dynasty for so many years.

What the denizens of Valleytown didn't know, was that it would eventually lead to the library being inhabited by the ghost of General Withers, along with the ghosts of other people as well, their souls forced to wander the overworld, unable to find peace in the end.

Some of the noteworthy spirits that have made themselves known in Valleytown are:
  • THE Mike's Hard
  • ((and also Mike Hard, Mike's Hard's impersonator
  • Ruthorford Rigsby, the Creator of the original "History of the Corc Dynasty" story
  • Schmitty
  • Snow John (who posessed the body of a snowman, also the original ghost of Valletown, and related to Withers)
  • *list currently pending

Upon the arrival of General Fergus Withers, the members of Valleytown found themselves with a new goal:

Chapter 2 - The Protection of the Village Folk

~*~

Even before General Withers made himself known to the people of Valleytown, it was already known as a beacon of hope for villagers.

Ealaín, one of the founding members of Valleytown, upon the creation of Robin's Rise, started a side project, where she would experiment on and restore the lives of the zombified and fallen villagers that found themselves wandering into the limits of Valleytown.

What was originally called "the Villager Hole" underneath the rise, Ealaín found herself overwhelmed by the amount of zombiefied villagers that wandered into the limits of Valleytown. While she was able to restore their health and rehabilitate them, she was running out of room, quick.

This was the original reason as to why the modern "Villager Hole" in the Plains district of valleytown exists, to have a safe environment where restored villagers could live their lives without the worry of re-zombification, or worse, raids from Pillager groups.

This was seen by Withers, and with his knowledge of the local villages, he directed the members of valleytown to create Pumpkin hill, a sister village that focused primarily on saving the village that was so close to them and was so close to complete ruin.

Pumpkin hill took the members of Valleytown around a month's worth of time to re-build, and now stands tall in the opposition of the cruel and unforgiving world that surrounds them.

As time went on, the members of Valleytown would eventually form more buildings, creating things like the casino, the stop & hop, and the record shop. But during that time, Withers was communicating with the villagers that were in the far off and surrounding villages, and had one more important job for the denizens of Valleytown.

One night, during one of Wither's "Ragers" (what he calls parties that he holds in his secret area behind the bookshelves in the library), Withers had a conversation with the denizens of Valleytown about the concept that he has been workshopping for some time:

Creating a Maritime village, in order to commune with and trade resources, knowledge, and assistance to the villagers that live far from Valleytown

At first, it took Ealaín a while to find the correct spot for it, due to the fact that she was able to more efficiently comb the shores, she ended up finding a suitable spot in between two mountain ranges, and begun marking out the area.

Neighboring Villages & Settlements

While Valleytown is currently the largest settlement in the local area, there are a few settlements and villages that not only beat Valleytown in its age, but in its influence as well. Many of the locals in the area hailed from some aspect of these towns, so we will document them here.

I - SADDLERS PASSING

Serving as Ellie's hometown, Saddler's passing was a settlement residing under a mountain range a fair bit away from valleytown. In its hayday, it served as a safe haven from all kinds of evil, its caves being loaded with magic inducing crystals. The residents of saddler's passing were Beast-Born wanderers, only settling in Saddler's passing after completing a pilgrimage to the holy castle of G'Reth, the God of the overworld, and receiving a boon of magical ability, which allowed them to find the caves.

As time went on, and people were born into the town, it grew into a bustling settlement, gaining respect from travellers arriving in the town, and ire from kingdoms, devoid of most magic due to technological advancements...

This ire caused many kingdoms to bring their best mages to try and convince the people of saddler's passing that their crystals should be shared. To All of their suprise, these requests were denied, almost immideaately.

Most kingdoms would find themselves backing off of it, not worrying about the belongings of a small settlement, however one kingdom, hell-bent on tearing down any opposition to it, decided that it would do the same to saddler's passing...

Not many people know what really happened to this settlement, but all we know now is the ruins of what could have been something great...

II - Fortress of Rambletude

The Fortress of Rambletude, despite the overwhelming hostility of the ages, predates most anything in Minecraftia. Originally being servants to "The Great Dragon", G'reth, Upon his ascention to God of the Overworld, granted the people of Rambletude a mighty boon: a floating island, unchanging to the land under them, they serve as a force of peace to the lands around them, travellers of time and space, being the first members of the overworld to tame the ghasts of hell, and the inventers of modern day balloon ships.

Their innovations were not much, for they did not ever desire much. as their numbers grew, they started leaving airships around the world, helping people travel, and others to find peace. Nowadays, they stay by the island, slowly moving, for as long as they've known.

As of recently, they have been hovering near Valleytown, hoping to instill peace into this growing settlement before its too late.
